Geight got me Lumines Arise for Christmas and I've been having a lot of fun with it so far, but it is really pushing the Steam Deck to the limit with some of its effects. The water slows things down a bit, and in one of the skins particles given off when squares are fading away slows it down even more. The first night I game overed and was really annoyed since it felt like it was the game lagging and me suddenly dropping multiple pieces unxpectedly.
Tried it again last night with some settings tweaked and it unfortunately hasn't helped, but expecting the slowdown made it easier to deal with (though definitely any such stages are a pain where survival is more important than trying to get a good score). Was able to finish the Journey mode and am excited to try the survival mode since i think that will have all the little pauses taken out making it play more like the older games.
Lumines rules btw I had a PSP that I bought entirely for homebrew but that ~UMD~ never left the drive once I got it.
Also picked up some stuff myself since the sale. "Heroes of the Seven Isles", which seemed like a chill RPG to play in the evenings from the demo that I've yet to launch. "Puzzle Depot" which I bought last month at launch after streaming the demo due to its ZZT/MZX ties. And "Comet Striker DX" which I had on my wishlist and don't remember hearing about at all? But sure why not.
Mostly felt like posting here since it's been a bit! Hi.
