Geight and I played through Night Manor together and we took a considerable break before going back and finishing (then cherrying) the game. We somehow never noticed another exit from the backyard and were just missing a bunch of screens entirely and also had a number of shortcuts through the home that we were unable to use.
Which is a relief because the only thing I didn't like about the game was the chase aspect since without any shortcuts opened it was really just a race in the opposite direction of what you were focused on and then a boring walk back.
But I'm super impressed with how much atmosphere it has? I mean, I'm not the kind of person to dismiss a game's ability to be scary because the graphics aren't detailed enough, but they did such a good job of making it unsettling to play. It's obviously got basically zero replayability, but it is one of my favorites overall. I'm half tempted to try some other adventure games now.
